The Royal Borough of Kingston Half Marathon 2017 will be directly raising money for associated charities, although many runners also fundraise personally for charities of their choice.
- Headline Charity
Momentum is proud to be the Headline charity at the Royal Borough of Kingston Half Marathon on Sunday October 1st.
Being told your child has cancer or another life-limiting condition is devastating. Day-to-day life is turned upside down. Momentum supports the entire family during times of unimaginable strain – the children and their parents, and also siblings and grandparents. We’re here to make sure no family has to cope alone
We currently work in partnership with 3 local hospitals in Surrey and SW London – Kingston, Epsom and St Peter’s – supporting over 150 families at any one time.
Join #TeamMo to help raise much-needed funds to support children and their families in our local community.
As a member of #TeamMo you will get:
- A Momentum running vest
- Leaflets, Mo the Owl pin badges, wrist-bands etc to help boost your fundraising activities
- A great sense of camaraderie on October 1st
- A huge thank you from all of us!

Orthopaedic Research UK (ORUK) aims to improve the lives of millions of adults and children affected by bone and joint disease through funding high quality research, training and education.
Our research projects promote collaboration between surgeons, scientists and engineers. They have helped develop new artificial limbs and joints, led to better pain relief, increased insights into conditions such as bone cancer, arthritis and osteoporosis and improved the treatment of sporting and trauma injuries.
We are one of the most significant funders of orthopaedic research in the UK, but much more needs to be done to achieve our ultimate vision of eliminating bone and joint disease.”
