An initiative for healthy eating was announced

Unilever Food Solutions and CANIRAC have announced “Good Nutrition Week – Food That Attracts”, which will be held from October 15 to 21 in different cities. The first edition of the Week of Good Nutrition – Nutrition that Attracts, presented by Unilever Food Solutions and the National Chamber of Catering and Seasonal Food (CANIRAC), is created with the aim of contributing to the reduction of the high tendency overweight around the world and offer healthier options to visitors.

The third edition of the World Menu Report, presented by Unilever Food Solutions, examines health and nutrition issues, showing global dietary trends when people eat out. Findings from the “Nutrition that Attracts” report show that diners want healthier options on the menu and are considering actions the food industry can take to combat obesity, a global public health problem. There are currently one billion adults with this problem and 300 million cases of obesity; It is estimated that this figure will increase to 1.5 billion by 2015.

In this sense, through the creation of this initiative, Unilever Food Solutions and CANIRAC strive to enchant and inspire visitors with more nutritious dishes and flavor delicious through quality food.

This initiative will take place from October 15 to 21 in Monterrey, Guadalajara, Cancún and the Federal District, and 5 restaurants per city will participate. Both organizations have invited restaurants who, with their enthusiastic participation and effort, will make small but significant changes to a dish within their existing menus; which will enable its clients to choose a more nutritious option and achieve an important impact on the health of the population in general.

Therefore, as part of this effort, the participating facilities will display informational materials so that guests are more familiar with the initiative and support the execution of the program.
