Both nations have shown a clear determination to advance future agreements on agro-industrial issues. The Undersecretary for Dairying of the Nation, Arturo Videla, visited, together with a delegation of businessmen from Azerbaijan, the companies Cresta Roja and La Serenísima, in the province of Buenos Aires.
During the tour, Arturo Videla noted that “Argentina seeks to export dairy products to Azerbaijan,” noting that “there is a clear determination of both nations to move forward in future agreements on agro-industrial issues.”
For their part, Azerbaijani businessmen expressed interest in cooperating with the Argentine government to initiate joint training and technology transfer processes, especially in the areas of livestock, dairy, poultry and value-added food sectors. Also, the possibility of improving the integration of companies from both countries, as part of the mutual exchange of knowledge, was mentioned.
It should be noted that this activity was part of the trade mission that Azerbaijan conducted in Argentina. Previously, the Azerbaijani delegation met with President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who agreed to open an embassy in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, while the Azerbaijani authorities decided to open a diplomatic seat in Buenos Aires.
The Azerbaijani delegation consisted of representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development: Deputy Minister of Economic Development Rashad Aslanov; director for international cooperation Orkhan Mammadov; director of multilateral cooperation Sahil Babayev and director of foreign investments Rufat Atakishiyev.
The delegation was accompanied by representatives of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Trade.
