Baumgarten takes over Rodak Labels

The operation strengthens the Brazilian company’s internationalization strategy.

As part of the internationalization and expansion strategy in Latin America, Baumgarten Gráfica, Brazilian graphic industry, signed an agreement on the acquisition of Labels Rodak, a company located in Mexico City. The operation was concluded on 01.01.2014.

“With this and future acquisitions, our intention is to strengthen our presence in the international market and expand our partnership with clients and suppliers, local and multinational,” says company president, Ronaldo Baumgarten Jr.

Baumgarten has been fully incorporated by Rodak, and as part of this integration, the name will change to Baumgarten México in the coming months. This transition will be carried out gradually to guarantee local trade relations, based on registrations and necessary registration procedures.

Baumgarten Gráfica is one of the most important graphic companies in of Latin America in the field of labels and packaging thermoformed in cardboard. Founded in 1881, it is headquartered in southern Brazil in the city of Blumenau, SC. It is recognizable for its modern graphics park and offer of all major types of labels and printing systems, with constant investments in sustainability. Its product portfolio includes self-adhesive labels without glue, in-mold heat shrinkable labels, roll labels, blister packs, labels and thermoformed cartons.

Founded in 1974, Rodak has almost 80 employees and is constantly growing year after year. It combines knowledge, technique and cutting-edge technology with quality materials, and specializes in printing self-adhesive and heat-shrinkable labels for the cosmetics, food, beverage, pharmaceutical and cleaning products markets, among others.
