Coca Cola is highlighted as a socially responsible company

For the ninth year in a row, Coca Cola de México has been recognized as a “Socially Responsible Company” by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi).

In a press release, Brian Smith, president of Coca-Cola de México, said that “the company will continue to support programs and actions that help create a sustainable and optimistic environment for the benefit of current and future generations in priority areas such as: water, sustainable packaging , energy and climate protection.”

Among the most relevant actions carried out by the company in Mexico, the following stand out: the commitment to return to nature all the water used in the production of its drinks and processes through compensation, recycling and reduction actions, as well as the reforestation and restoration of 25,000 hectares and the planting of 30 million trees.
