Danone reaffirms its commitment to food quality and safety

Argentina. – Danone reaffirmed its commitment food quality and safety as a fundamental pillar of the process of production and distribution of its products in three activities: pure and flavored waters, dairy products and specialized nutrition.

In the case of products fresh dairy products, the milk from which yogurts and white cheeses are made arrives at the plant within 24 hours of milking. After receipt, 1,600 tests and 400 analyzes are performed daily in laboratories approved by the National Institute for Industrial Technology (INTI) and ISO 17025 accredited during packaging.

Likewise, all products have a dual process pasteurization, which guarantees microbiological correctness and food safety; with a management system certified according to the standards ISO 9001, IS0 14001, IS0 22000, PAS 220 and FSSC 22000, in the context of continuous improvement that proposes a constant review of what is defined in order to find new possibilities.

Food safety, a pillar at Danone

In specialized nutrition, the products go through strict processes of production, packaging and distribution in accordance with the requirements Argentine Food Codex and the European Union. We work with the highest international quality standards, backed by excellent plant infrastructure, high-tech levels of laboratory control to ensure quality at all stages.

More than 6,500 process controls, more than 8,500 quality controls of finished products and more than 30 controls in external laboratories are carried out annually for water. In this way, we work to provide healthy and safe products that meet the requirements quality standards aligned with the Argentine Food Codex and according to the world’s strictest food safety certificates.
