V8 introduces V8 + Hydrate™, with three unique flavors: Grapefruit Orange, Cucumber Strawberry and Watermelon Coconut.
NOW.- Campbell Soup Company has launched V8 + Hydrate™, a new plant-based hydration drink that harnesses the natural goodness of sweet potato juice. This category-changing beverage takes the benefits of sweet potato’s natural electrolytes and glucose and combines them perfectly with water, creating an isotonic drink that rapidly replenishes fluids and nutrients.
With only 45 calories in each 8-ounce can, V8 + Hydrate contains a full serving of vegetables, no artificial sweeteners, is non-GMO, gluten-free and vegan. The refreshing hydration drink with herbal energy is available in three unique flavors: strawberry cucumber, coconut watermelon and orange grapefruit. In a recent consumer survey, V8 + Hydrate Strawberry Cucumber was found to taste better than the leading herbal water, Vita Coco Pure Coconut Water.
In this regard, Diego Palmieri, Director of Marketing US Meals & Beverages at Campbell Soup Company, said: “As experts in plant-based nutrition for more than 80 years, we know that our consumers are looking for healthier lifestyles and are turning to products that contain nutrients and functionality. V8 + Hydrate is a drink that addresses key consumer demands with clean, fresh, great taste and at a more affordable price. Whether you’re on the go or just finishing a workout, V8 + Hydrate brings a whole host of benefits to the table thanks to the inherent goodness of sweet potato .”
Initially launching exclusively through e-commerce, with a suggested retail price of $4.99 for a six-pack of 8-ounce cans, it will begin shipping in approximately 24 U.S. markets now offered by Peapod, an electronic marketplace from Ahold Delhaize .
