Idaho Milk Products continues to consolidate in the milk protein industry with the appointment of Jeremy Pike as Head of Sustainability Platform. A commitment to sustainability was built into the business when the company first opened its doors in 2009.
Jeremy will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the development of processes and metrics within the key areas of environmental protection, animal care, food safety, sustainable nutrition and people and communities. This role leads a cross-functional team that will assess and drive improvements and reporting across five key areas of sustainability.

Idaho Milk Products’ approach to sustainability
Before joining Idaho Dairy Products In 2021, he worked as a fisheries biologist for the Nez Perce Tribe at the Dworshak National Fish Hatchery in Orofino, ID. Jeremy holds a master’s degree in environmental science and biology from the State University of New York, and a bachelor’s degree in biological science from the University at Buffalo.
The whole operation is designed for promotion sustainable practices and now creating a sustainability leadership position and promoting from within creates an impetus for continuous improvement in this critical aspect of the business. Jeremy’s previous role as Effluent and Emissions Supervisor made a very positive contribution to improvements in our Effluent operations.
My promotion to this new role will put us on a path of continuous improvement through the development of procedures and transparent reporting of key sustainability indicators.
