The company has been awarded by various institutions for its comprehensive sustainability management, with specific practices towards the community and the environment.

In 2015, Kimberly-Clark received various awards that recognize its comprehensive management in sustainability, with a concrete and responsible contribution to the protection of the planet and commitment to the community as part of its +comUNIDAD platform.

Thus, in the 17th edition of the Business Citizenship Awards awarded by AMCHAM (the United States Chamber of Commerce in Argentina), Kimberly-Clark won the highest award in the Sustainability Oriented Management (GES) category. These awards recognize companies that have oriented their business model towards sustainability and that make a difference.

“At Kimberly-Clark, we strive to ensure that sustainability is transversal in all areas. Within our three pillars of People, Planet and Products, our strategy challenges us to continuously measure the progress we make in 10 specific goals, from 100% compliance with social standards to reducing water consumption or environmental impact, including our packaging,” he comments. The company was also awarded the Sustainable Leadership Award of the Argentine-British Chamber of Commerce (CCAB), with second place in the category of large companies for its environmental performance.

Accordingly, in the CEOP Company Prestige ranking, Kimberly-Clark was ranked seventh and third in sustainability.

Image, communication and responsibility

Kimberly-Clark has also been recognized in the Eikon Awards for Image and Communication, the Excellence in Solidarity and Communication Awards organized by the RSC Distinctions, the Ecumenical Social Forum Awards and has also received recognition at Carrefour’s annual supplier event for its sustainable initiatives.

At the Eikon Awards, the company was awarded in the categories of financial communication or communication with investors for its sustainability report and in the category of consumer relations, for the campaign “Health is in your hands” with Eikon Azules. Organized by Imagen magazine, this award is dedicated to institutional communication, public affairs, political communication, public relations, advertising and marketing.

In addition, he was awarded the “Care for the Environment” award for his program “Towards Zero Waste Management” in the 2015 edition of the Ecumenical Social Forum awards. The ecumenical social forum aims to spread actions of social responsibility, emphasizing the importance of civil society organizations and business people in the transformation of the world.

The company was also recognized in the 2014 CSR Distinctions – Awards for Excellence in Solidarity and Communication -, awards that recognize solidarity activities and commitment to the public good, with the purpose of raising awareness in society for its InnovaTEC program, whose purpose is to identify and reward innovative practices of teachers and administrators developed in the technical schools of the province of Buenos Aires to share them with the educational community and encourage their application in other institutions.

Also, for the first time, the company was recognized at the annual Carrefour supplier event for its sustainable initiative: during the month of November, for every pack sold, Huggies donated 1 diaper to the Caminando Juntos Foundation, which were distributed to 4 CONIN centers from different regions of the country .
