As a sign of support for the FAO initiative, through its “I shared a glass of milk” solidarity campaign, it will donate 3,000 liters of milk to an NGO. La Serenísima celebrates World Milk Day today with the start of its “I shared a glass” of milk solidarity campaign.”
World Milk Day is promoted by the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) with the aim of promoting the consumption of dairy products worldwide.
In addition to encouraging the consumption of milk by people of all ages, this proposal also aims to ensure that the followers of La Serenísima can share the benefits of milk with a school, hospital or NGO and thus be the true protagonists of the campaign.
In this way, La Serenísima’s thousands of followers on Facebook and the general public are invited to freely suggest a non-profit institution (among the mentioned options) that they would like La Serenísima to help. In this way, from June 1 to 15, participants will be able to symbolically “SHARE A GLASS OF MILK” with an organization. At the end of the campaign, those with the highest number of votes will receive 3 thousand liters of La Serenísima milk.
In addition, during June, members of the Nutrition Information Department of La Serenisima will hold talks with the company’s associates in order to promote a healthy diet and inform about the benefits of milk consumption at different stages of life.
Likewise, during the traditional factory visits offered daily by La Serenísima, in its General Rodríguez industrial complex, the benefits of milk and the meaning of celebrating World Milk Day will be discussed.
On the other hand, printed brochures and balloons will also be delivered for the youngest in the exclusive La Serenísima area of the Children’s Museum, in Shopping Abasto.
