M&G Polímeros will build the largest PET plant in the world

It will be built in Corpus Christi and will produce one million tons of said material annually. M&G Polímeros, which has a plant in Altamira, has announced the purchase of a large area of ​​land in Corpus Christi, Texas, to build what will be the largest PET plant in the in the world, superior to those already working in our area and in Brazil.
Mauro Fenoglio, project manager, announced the purchase of land located north of the Viola Channel of the Port of Corpus Christi, which is considered the sixth most important in the United States.
The Italian consortium will build a plant to produce one million tonnes of PET per year and another to produce 1.2 million tonnes of PTA, the same feedstock it currently buys from Petrocel, an industry whose sales could be affected.
