More than 8 thousand professionals gathered to visit the 9th edition of the fair held from September 12 to 14
With the presence of more than 200 companies and 600 brands, exhibiting the latest plastic processing machinery, technology, industry trends and plastic solutions for the industry in general, the ninth edition of Expo Plasticos was held with great success. 2012
Of the more than 8 thousand visitors who attended the event, 91% were local and came from many states of the Republic such as: Jalisco, Distrito Federal, State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Querétaro and Guanajuato to name a few, and 9% were mostly international United States of America.
All of them could take part in update conferences, training, see machines in operation, compare alternatives, see new solutions in energy saving, plastic recycling and industrial trends.
-More than 200 companies and 600 exhibiting brands, from various fields such as: instrument equipment manufacturing and distribution, machinery and equipment manufacturers, machinery distribution, mold and tool manufacturing, synthetic resin distribution, plastic recycling companies, transformation companies or plastic processing.
– Sales of machinery, equipment, resins and tools are estimated at more than 40 million USD
– The estimated tourist outpouring generated in Guadalajara thanks to all the foreign exhibitors, foreign visitors and contracts made in the receiving destination is estimated at more than 15 million dollars pesos
-More than 8 thousand visitors visited Expo Plasticos 2012. 50% of the participants are general managers, general managers or plant managers of companies that are end users, distributors of machinery and equipment or companies that provide plastic solutions for the entire industry. 23% refers to manufacturing and production activities
– More than 100 people, including exhibitors and visitors, joined and attended the dinner with the aim of raising funds for the Red Nose Foundation, which helps children and adolescents with cancer in Jalisco.
-200 business meetings were held between visitors and exhibitor companies in specially implemented modules.
The plastics industry in Mexico represents a potential market due to the multiple applications that polymers have in different sectors such as construction, medicine, food, cosmetics, toys, electronics, automotive, among many others; which opens up a wide range of business opportunities. There are more than 3,500 plastics processing companies and an estimated 60% of the plastics industry is micro-enterprises, 24% are small; 12% medium and 4% large; whose main market behaviors are divided into 49% packaging, 18% consumption and 16% construction, generating a total of around 150,000 direct jobs and 750,000 indirect jobs.
The businessmen present are very optimistic about their development thanks to the new
investments that will take place in the country in the automotive sector.
